Although there are many books out there for learning Hand Tool techniques, Alan and Gill Bridgewater do more than their bit to add to this wonderful collection of books. Reading this book you are reminded of the DK Eyewitness books in that it simply explains a tool and shows you with various line drawings and also photographs.
Although there is not a great deal of explanation for each tool but it serves very well as a quick reference. The tools in the book are not necessarily period pieces, but they are derived from period tools, the photographs are well laid out and the amount of illustration is adequate. A pretty good introduction to using Hand Tools for under $10. |
